Susan has 27 years in the Coroner's Office. She served 18 years as Chief Deputy and Court Reporter before being elected Coroner.

She has served over 10,000 bereaved families with Care, Compassion and Respect.

Susan has scheduled and personally conducted over 1900 inquests since being elected Coroner. Attends autopsies.

The Coroner responds to violent criminal and accidental death scenes and conducts investigations involving suspicious circumstances.

Susan has completed Masters' Courses in Medico-Legal Death Investigations at St. Louis University, Medical Center.

She completes 40 hours of Continuing Education and Training for Coroners and Medical Examiners per year. Completed Law Enforcement Course work at Lincoln Land Community College.
