Susan Boone is a native of Springfield.  She attended Springfield Public Schools.  She attended Lincoln Land Community College, Western Illinois St. Louis University Medical Center.  She is a member of the following organizations: Sangamon County DUI Task Force, Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Police Association, Illinois Coroner's and Medical Examiners, International Association Coroner's and Medical Examiners, YMCA Century Club, West Side Christian Church and the Rutledge Youth Foundation.

Dear Valued Sangamon County Resident,

I have had the opportunity and privilege to serve as your Sangamon County Coroner for the past 9 years and for a total of 27 years in the office.  I have been fiscally responsible and under budget during my time in office.  I have expanded the capabilities of the office by adding two forensic pathologist.  I have put in place many new programs which have resulted in a more effective and efficient office.  I have been involved with over 10,000 families though this office and I have done my bets to show care, compassion and respect to each of them.
